Sherina Maye Edwards

Sherina Maye Edwards is an experienced executive who has held a broad range of leadership roles including executive, regulatory, and legal, that provide the expertise required to lead innovative change. Edwards is the former Chief Strategy Officer for MasTec, a $14B Fortune 500 utility infrastructure company. In this role, she led the evolution of the power delivery segment. Prior, she served as the President and CEO of INTREN, where she led the company to record-breaking financial results. Edwards has served as an energy and utility regulatory Partner at Quarles & Brady and served a five-year term on the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) where she ensured safe, reliable, and affordable utility services to Illinois consumers. She has a unique level of regulatory experience including implementing public policy at the state and federal levels and promoting supplier diversity among investor-owned utilities. Edwards is nationally recognized for championing diversity and inclusion within the utility and energy sector and her guidance led to the creation of the Illinois Utilities Business Diversity Council and the ICC’s Office of Diversity and Community Affairs. Additionally, Edwards serves on the board of directors for SouthWest Water Company and Midland States Bank and is a graduate of Howard University’s School of Law and a cum laude graduate of Spelman College.
