Brad Simcox is Nexant’s Director of Strategic Initiatives and Utility Engagement, responsible for bringing innovative, relevant solutions to his clients. Brad has a diverse background in the energy sector, from planning customer programs at a major utility to managing the sustainability efforts of a global company. Brad’s diverse background gives him a unique perspective with which to advise and guide Nexant’s clients. He excels at bringing innovative solutions and unique partnerships together to help tackle challenging situations. Michael McCarthy is a Senior Manager in Resource Innovations' Utility Services business unit located in the White Plains, NY office. Michael has more than ten years of experience working with clients to deliver complex energy and IT programs. Michael’s responsibilities include program delivery oversight, business development, and staff management for Resource Innovations' Energy Efficiency Delivery group in the Northeast US. Michael focuses on the design and management of commercial energy efficiency programs, including commercial building optimization and small business programs. His experience includes client management, project staff coordination, budget management and forecasting, new program design and launch, service provider management, and direct program outreach. His prior experience also includes consulting engagements for numerous commercial and federal government clients in the areas of program design and management, financial modeling, market research, performance benchmarking, and Lean/Six Sigma program analysis. Michael has an MBA in Energy and Environment from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a BA in Environmental Economics from Colgate University. He is a registered Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Becky Robbins is a Senior Program Manager in Resource Innovations' Utility Services business unit. She is currently based out of the Salt Lake City, Utah office. For six years, she managed a New Homes program in Utah that was one of three new homes programs named in ACEEE’s Third Annual Review of Exemplary Energy Efficiency Programs in 2013, along with recognition by ENERGY STARProfiles in Leadership for “innovative marketing and outreach strategy”employed in 2012”. In 2016, she led the program team of a large commercial program offered in five states with the design and launch of a tiered trade ally network. She currently manages the Salt Lake City outreach team that supports business customers and trade allies for the predominant gas and electric utility in Utah, along with areas of Idaho and Wyoming. Since Becky has made training a key component of program support, Resource Innovations was awarded a contract in 2015 with the State of Utah Governor’s Office of Energy Development coordinating residential and commercial energy code training for Utah’s building industry, which she continues to lead today. Becky’s enthusiasm for providing education about energy efficiency has led to effective market transformation and improved energy savings outcomes for the utilities. 

Ashley Bigler is part of Nexant’s Outreach Team located in Salt Lake City, UT. Ashley provides customer and trade ally support, program expertise and quality control for multiple programs including the wattsmart Business and Thermwise energy efficiency programs. Though she has worked with several utilities and programs, she currently specializes in commercial non-lighting measures, specifically HVAC Check-up and Advanced Rooftop Controls. She provides multiple levels of quality control including field inspections, application reviews, internal and external training materials, checklists, and Excel-based Tools. Ashley also monitors the progression of yearly goals, tracks individual projects and provides weekly program updates.
 

Jim Monsen is a Program Representative in Nexant’s Utility Services Outreach group. He is currently based out of Nexant’s Salt Lake City, Utah office. Mr. Monsen focuses on energy savings through outreach to trade allies and educating allies of incentive programs. He currently covers all areas of Utah and has presented information to contractors, distributors and customers in Moab, Vernal, Richfield, St. George, Cedar City, Logan as well as the Wasatch Front. Jim’s experience includes over 20 years in the HVAC industry with experience in design, sales, installation and service of high efficiency heating and cooling systems. Prior to joining Nexant, Jim was a Comfort Designer at Aire Serv featuring Utah Geothermal where he specialized in providing high efficiency systems with custom comfort delivery for comfort control throughout the building. Mr. Monsen holds a Journeyman certification through Utah Valley University. He is a NATE certified service technician as well as Rocky Mountain Gas Association Certified, EPA universally certified and also certified in design and installation with the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA). He spent four years as an instructor of HVAC apprenticeship at Mountainland Applied Technology College.

Charles Bicknell is a Senior Vice President in Resource Innovations' Utility Services business unit leading the Strategy and Planning Consulting practice. Mr. Bicknell joined Nexant from the Cadmus Group where he was a Vice President with the Energy Sector, led the Analytics Group, and was the principal investigator on some of Cadmus’ largest evaluation and energy efficiency potential studies. Mr. Bicknell's expertise includes economic and financial analysis of energy efficiency programs, and data-driven approaches for DSM program optimization. Mr. Bicknell’s background is in financial analysis and modeling, and his experience includes work in the investment banking industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Denver.

Andrea Davis joined the Utility Services Proposal Team in March 2018. Andrea is a skilled professional with over a decade of experience in content, including technical documentation, software descriptions, marketing/public relations, and creative writing. She has researched, written/edited, and published articles for various companies/organizations—both full-time and as a freelancer. In previous positions she specialized in search engine optimization, project planning, agile ceremonies, and management. In addition she also wrote technical documentation and performed quality assurance testing.

Maura McGowan is a Project Engineer in Nexant’s Utility Services (UTS) business unit located in the Cary, NC office. Maura provides both program implementation support services and technical review of energy efficiency projects. She currently provides research and support for energy programs by creating program manuals and applications, establishing and continuously improving workflow processes, and tracking progress to ensure the programs meet their goals. Maura’s technical experience includes working as a technical reviewer for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) Existing Facilities program. Prior to joining Nexant, she was a Lighting Consultant at ConEdison Solutions, where she specialized in conducting pre- and post-installation audits for lighting, calculating payback and savings, and coordinating labor and materials on site. Maura holds an MS in Energy Management from the New York Institute of Technology, and a BS in Mathematics from Manhattan College. She is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). 

Jeff Baker is a Business Development Writer in Portland, Oregon, who specializes in developing winning responses to RFPs from utilities, public agencies, and other organizations. His responsibilities include assessing new business opportunities, establishing project timelines and task assignments, and collaborating with internal subject matter experts to capture technical details of program design. Prior to joining Nexant, he was the proposal manager for Ecova, and was a reporter and editor for The Oregonian in Portland. He has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Oregon.
