Let's Get Outside with Hiking & Biking

Sep 22, 2020

During the pandemic, biking exploded in popularity. Whether it’s families biking together, essential workers commuting, or gym enthusiasts looking for a new workout, bikes have been in demand and supply has had a hard time keeping up. Hiking has also been more popular than normal. With everyone cooped up, it can feel very freeing to get outdoors -- after all, exercise benefits both our physical and mental health.

In the past, Nexant has organized Bike to Work Week events, but even though many of us won’t see the office this summer/fall, we’re encouraging biking and hiking anyway! There are many ways to enjoy these activities---be it just for fun, for fitness, or for taking essential trips to work or to shop. (Please be sure to follow CDC and local guidelines when you are out and about.)

In honor of Bike To Work Week (September 21-27), we asked staff to share with us how they are enjoying biking and the outdoors with their family and friends, or as a stress reliever/mental break from the day. Whether it was a walk around the neighborhood, a visit to a state park, or a bike ride to a new destination it’s clear that enjoying the outdoors is a pastime for many of our staff.

Take a virtual trip with us and check out the places our staff has been hanging out.
