Resource Innovations Appoints Jesse Demmel as Chief Technology Officer

Experienced technology executive joins Resource Innovations to advance technology strategy and scale systems and capabilities to support customers’ evolving needs.

CHICAGO, IL (Oct. 14, 2026) — Resource Innovations (RI), a trusted partner helping utilities deliver clean energy programs, announced the appointment of Jesse Demmel as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, Demmel will lead RI’s technology strategy and help scale the systems, platforms, and capabilities that enable the company to deliver greater value for customers and expand its impact across the energy industry.

Demmel brings more than 15 years of experience as a technology executive, including consumer web-scale technology and enterprise SaaS. He led global engineering and product teams through significant growth and transformational change, including technology modernization, organizational development, and business process optimization.

Before joining RI, Demmel served as CTO at Uplight and Sovrn and held technology leadership roles at Under Armour. Over the past four years, he focused on the energy sector, developing a deep understanding of the industry’s evolving technology needs and opportunities. His experience delivering technology solutions at scale aligns closely with RI’s approach to combining technology, expertise, and people to help utilities navigate a changing energy landscape.

As utilities face increasingly complex demands across energy efficiency, electrification, distributed energy resources, grid modernization, and customer engagement, technology is playing a growing role in enabling new solutions and improving how energy programs are delivered. Demmel’s appointment strengthens RI’s investment in the technology capabilities needed to support this evolution while advancing operational excellence and the customer experience.
