Resource Innovations to Accelerate the Electrification of Commercial Fleets for Xcel Energy Customers in Colorado and New Mexico

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (July 30, 2025) — Resource Innovations (RI), a leading provider of tech-enabled services that drive decarbonization, equity, and innovation, will implement Xcel Energy’s new Fleet Electrification Advisory Program (FEAP). With Xcel Energy, Resource Innovations will support commercial, industrial, and public sector customers transition from gas-powered to electric fleets in Colorado and New Mexico.

Relaunched in June 2025, FEAP is designed to provide tailored technical assistance to Xcel Energy’s electric customers who are ready to explore or advance their electrification journey. Through personalized fleet assessments, RI will help customers identify suitable electric vehicle (EV) replacements, recommend optimal charging infrastructure, and uncover available rebates and incentives—delivering a tailored electrification strategy.

This program helps fleet owners understand what’s possible, plan strategically, and take action confidently," said Craig Miller, Senior Director, Clean Transportation Programs at Xcel Energy.

FEAP is structured to deliver environmental and economic impact by reducing emissions, improving cost efficiency, and expanding access to electrification support, particularly in underserved and higher-emission communities. The program will assist at least 30 eligible commercial customers through December 2026 and is tailored to meet the needs of complex fleet types, including medium- and heavy-duty vehicles such as delivery vans, refuse trucks, and buses.
