Award-winning Campaign: Working to Reach Vectren Schools in Indiana

Feb 6, 2018

We know staff is busy, money is tight, and funding is often complicated at schools. That is why we worked with Vectren to provide energy guidance counselors to support school maintenance staff and contractors in our school campaign. Through this campaign we developed marketing collateral to support our counselors including an email campaign, leave behind fidget flip card, and flyer.  Click here to watch a 1-minute video about the campaign.

Nexant is proud to be part of Vectren’s team, as the program implementer for Vectren Energy Efficiency Program’s school campaign. The Inspiring Efficiency Awards are selected by the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) and presented at their conference gala. The Marketing Award goes to a campaign, program, or strategy that successfully reduced energy consumption and used best practices for energy efficiency.

Together, we reached our goal to boost therm savings over a six-month period. Vectren’s support helped schools save energy and money, as well as make more informed decisions for their energy future. The average savings per application increased three times versus the previous year.

Big Picture

While there will be variances from region to region, this campaign can be adapted anywhere. The campaign can also be considered as a way to gain traction for a program with new outreach staff that may not have an existing network. Please contact Nexant if you are interested in working with us to implement energy efficiency programs.
