Pro Training: Insulation, Air Sealing, and Heat Pump
Join Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties, Utah Clean Energy, AeroBarrier, Just Right Heating & Cooling, and Nexant for a free virtual on-site training to learn about the steps Habitat for Humanity is taking to maximize efficiency, promote energy affordability, and reduce emissions in one of its zero energy ready homes. Nexant's own Chris Cox will be speaking at this training, which will take place on June 15, 2021 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. (MST).
The virtual on-site training will cover:
- Insulation and air sealing in a Zero Energy Ready home: How to effectively insulate the slab, walls, floors and ceilings and to seal the home to meet Zero Energy Ready standards.
- EVR for Zero Energy Ready: Airtight construction also requires mechanical ventilation with an ERV to provide fresh air while maintaining efficiency of heating and cooling.
- Sizing and selecting a “cold climate” heat pump: It is doable with careful attention to optimize performance for Summit County’s cold climate.
Two hours of Contractor Core or Electrician Professional DOPL Continuing Education credit is available. Participants who would like to receive DOPL credits must have their camera turned on and be visible on camera during the entire presentation.
