Induction cooktops are modern cooking appliances that have gained popularity for their speed, precision, energy efficiency, and safety. Unlike traditional gas or electric cooktops, induction cooktops utilize electromagnetic technology to directly heat the cookware, making them a safe and efficient option for modern kitchens.

The heat source of an induction cooktop is more precise, even, and efficient because your cookware absorbs the heat rather than your appliance reducing wear and tear and saving you energy and money.

How They Work

The working principle of induction cooktops involves using electromagnetic coils beneath the glass-ceramic surface. An electric current that passes through these coils creates a magnetic field. When compatible cookware (such as cast iron or certain types of stainless steel) goes onto the cooktop, the magnetic field induces an electric current within the cookware, generating heat through resistance. The heat is transferred directly to the cooking vessel and its contents without heating the cooktop’s surface.
